Siemens
November 30, 2010 the German Siemens held a ceremony at Shanghai, celebrating the establishment of the Siemens wind turbine blades (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. This is the first wind turbine blades factory of Siemens in China, designed for an over 600 sets/year capacity, and aimed to satisfy the ever growing demand of the Shanghai and national market. The total investment to this factory was 35 million Euros.
Siemens’s main business comprises of electronics industry, energy industry, medical technology, railway vehicles and communication systems. Over the years, Siemens has used their brilliant solutions, technologies and products to constantly expand cooperation with China, and indeed, their technical achievements, innovation and relentless pursuit of superior quality and reliability has generated unique trust in the brand. In the 2010 fiscal year (October 1, 2009 to September 30, 2010) Siemens’s total revenue in China reached 5.5 billion Euros (not including Osram and Siemens IT Solutions and Services Group). Today, Siemens in China has more than 25,000 employees, established 16 R&D centers, 69 operating companies and 64 regional offices. All in all, Siemens has become an integral part of the Chinese economy, and their dedication to work together with China, wholeheartedly work together to achieve sustainable development is ever manifest.
