Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies
The history of the French Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (VWS) in China goes back to the end of 80's of last century. The Danish Krüger, one of its principal subsidiaries, signed the first contract of Handan East Sewage Treatment Plant. Since then, VWS began its development in China's water treatment market. In 1994, OTV SA, another main subsidiary of VWS, established the Representative Office in Beijing. With the entry of OTV SA, VWS strengthened its position in water and wastewater treatment markets, for both municipal and industrial customers. In Sept. 2006, Beijing OTV SA Representative Office became VWS (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Today, VWS Beijing and Hong Kong have more than 90 staff in office (including a strong engineering team in Beijing) and 60 staff on construction sites.
VWS China provides municipalities with local expertise adapted to Chinese customers' requirements for drinking water, wastewater and water reuse treatment plants.
According to VWS’s 2011 November report, Veolia’s profit in China was 1.25 billion Euros in the first three quarters of the year.
