UPM-Kymmene
UPM-Kymmene is one of the three largest paper and paper products manufacturer of
the world, with a hundred years of history behind them. In 1999 UPM-Kymmene invested
600 million USD in Jiangsu province for building a factory producing 350 thousand
tons of top quality paper. In 2003 their annual turnover in China reached 500 million
dollars. In 2005 UPM-Kymmene built up their second factory in Jiangsu province’s
Changshu city. The Finnish PM Matti Vanhanen was present at the opening ceremony.
In 2010 the annual turnover of the company in China was already 650 million Euros,
that even in the times of depression has risen to 740 million by 2011.
