Huawei’s main partners in Europe are the German telecom giants Pantel and Synergon and Vodafone. With Synergon they signed a Regional System Integrator Agreement. Looking at Huawei’s entire Eastern European strategy, it is obvious that Hungary is their chosen logistic base. In 2009 Huawei employed 280 people, in 2010 another 420. Their production area in Hungary is 20.000 square meters, the value of annual production 1,1 billion USD.

In 2009 Huawei surpassed Alcatel-Lucent and became the third largest mobile communication producer in the world, their share of the global market raising to 15% from the preceding year’s 8%; most of this outstanding growth was achieved on Huawei’s main market, Europe.
